Jonny May is a Rugby England International and was named as LV= Breakthrough Player in March 2012. In June 2012 he then joined up with the England squad, coming off the bench and scoring two tries against the South African Barbarians North team at Potchefstroom.

Jonny then played in both England Saxons games in 2012, winning his first full cap against Argentina at Buenos Aires in June 2013. His Six Nations debut came in February 2014 which was unfortunately cut short due to having to leave the field with a broken nose. He became England's joint leading ball-carrier, along with Billy Twelvetrees, with 12 against Ireland at Twickenham and gained 67 metres in all.

He scored a stunning maiden test try against New Zealand in November 2014 which has few equals. Two matches on he then crowned his tenth cap with two tries against Samoa, with England winning 28 - 9. Jonny then put in an impressive performance against France in the initial Rugby World Cup warm-up match in August where he scored another try from a diagonal kick from Alex Goode.

The following month in the final preparatory game against Ireland, he took a perfectly directed pass from Ben Youngs to fend off Tommy Bowe before beating Simon Zebo for his fifth international try. Ben also provided a blind-side pass for his sixth England try against Wales at Twickenham in September 2015.

Jonny has had a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury, however made an instant impact scoring a try on his return in October 2016.

In 2017, it was announced he would be joining Leicester Tigers. May started his Leicester career strongly scoring 9 tries in his first 8 appearances and earning the club's player of the month award.
