Description
What are Energy Gels?
Energy gels are compact, easy-to-digest sachets that provide a quick source of carbohydrates to support performance during prolonged or intense activity. Our Energy Gels provide a quick and convenient way to deliver fast-acting energy in delicious, natural fruit flavours. Containing 3 delicious flavours - Apple & Blackcurrant, Citrus Fruit and Passion Fruit - each gel contains 25g carbs and 3 electrolytes to support endurance performance during prolonged endurance exercise (sodium, potassium and calcium)
Why choose us?
All our energy gels use pectin for easier digestion, resulting in a light, fluid consistency. We use a dual combination of carbohydrates, a 2:1 Maltodextrin Fructose mix that provides a concentrated source of carbs when you need it the most. Because they aren't thick like most other energy gels, you can consume them easily without water – perfect when you're on the move. Using natural fruit flavours, no unnecessary ingredients have been used - no added sugar, and no artificial flavours or sweeteners.
When to take Energy Gels
As they are fast-acting, energy gels are designed to be taken immediately before and during exercise. Take one gel around 10 minutes before the start of your activity to top up your energy. For longer workouts or endurance events, such as half-marathons or long-distance cycling, consume another gel every 30-45 minutes of exercise to maintain energy levels.
How long do Energy Gels last?
Typically, you should aim for 60-90 grams of carbohydrates per hour, but this greatly depends on the duration and intensity of exercise. As your body uses up the carbohydrates, energy levels may begin to dip, which is why regular intake is recommended during longer activities. Monitor how your body responds and adjust accordingly for best results and maximum performance.
